GMC set out to build the most advanced and luxurious Sierra 1500 ever -- and it shows the moment you get close. Next-generation 5.7L and 6.6L V8 engines bring real advances in combustion, cooling, and control. An enhanced 2.7L TurboMax delivers best-in-class standard torque, and the lineup still offers the proven, segment-exclusive Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel.

Inside, the cabin has been completely redesigned: an available panoramic sunroof, best-in-class standard crew cab front head and leg room, an all-new MultiPro center console, and a best-in-class 16.3" infotainment screen with class-exclusive articulation.

01When can I place my first order?+
The 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 is expected to be on dealer lots late Q4 2026, and orders can be placed late summer 2026. Get on our list below and we'll reach out the moment order banks open.
02What's actually new compared to the current Sierra?+
Two new sixth-generation V8 engine options, over 60" of combined digital display, and a reimagined interior with Sierra-first features including the MultiPro Center Console, available Bose head-restraint speakers, and a panoramic sunroof.
03How is this different from the Chevrolet Silverado?+
The Sierra 1500 offers available Bose Premium Front Head-Restraint Speakers, an articulating passenger screen with sliding cover, and GMC-exclusive trims and content -- including AT4X and Denali Ultimate, with a mix of open-pore wood, stainless steel, and satin chrome accents.
04What trims will be available?+
Pro, Elevation, AT4, Denali, AT4X, and Denali Ultimate.
05Where are the new V8s built?+
GM's next-generation V8 engines, including the new 5.7L and 6.6L, are produced at Flint (MI), Tonawanda, and St. Catharines Assembly -- right here in Ontario.
06What happens between now and launch?+
This is a monumental launch for GM's number-one-selling vehicle, and they're taking a thoughtful approach that supports both the new reveal and a strong sell-down of the current-generation Sierra. This is just the beginning -- more to come.
